4.1.6 Maintenance Schedule

A Maintenance Schedule is a schedule that starts at a particular time of day and runs for some time until it stops. The start time can be specified in a range to account for a late start of the program itself, while the end time is some time within 24 hours since the start time. It can be specified which weekdays the schedule is to run: the start time refers to the current weekday, while the end time can be on the same day or the next day.

Each Schedule can reference up to three Action Plans:

  • The Initial Action Plan that is performed once at start time

  • The Repeat Action Plan that is performed at regular intervals

  • The Final Action Plan that is performed when this schedule ends.

An entry called “Overriding Schedule” exists to allow to override another Schedule that would be otherwise in conflict with this one while it is running. A typical example would be a Schedule that runs during office hours that would override a Schedule that runs 24 hours/7 days a week – except for the time this Schedule would run. The 24/7 Schedule is the one being overriden.
